Italian companies have expanded their presence in Saudi Arabia’s food industry during two exhibitions held in Jeddah. Thirty-seven Italian firms participated, highlighting investment opportunities and promoting food products and industrial technologies. The events, held at the Jeddah Superdome from September 27 to 29, were supported by the Italian Trade Agency.
Seventeen of the companies focused on agricultural and food products, while the remaining twenty presented technologies related to food processing, manufacturing, and packaging. Marco Bocchi, Italy’s consul general in Jeddah, noted the significance of the exhibitions in strengthening economic ties between the two nations. The event provided a platform for Italian businesses to connect with Saudi buyers and explore long-term collaboration.
The exhibitions reflect growing interest in Saudi Arabia’s food industry, which is expanding due to government initiatives to diversify the economy. Italian firms aim to leverage this momentum by introducing advanced technologies and high-quality products. The participation underscores the increasing importance of trade relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia in the food and industrial sectors.
