Saudi Arabia's events market experienced a significant rebound in ticket sales during the summer months of July and August, with volumes rising by 34 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. This recovery followed a sharp decline of 51 percent in ticket sales during the first half of 2026, according to data from the Saudi-based entertainment discovery platform Platinumlist. The increase in ticket volumes was not accompanied by higher spending, as the average ticket price dropped by approximately 40 percent. The report highlights a broader market expansion, suggesting that more people are attending events despite the lower prices. The recovery comes as the country continues to invest in cultural and entertainment sectors as part of its economic diversification strategy. The data reflects a growing interest in live events, which could signal a positive trend for the sector as it seeks to attract both local and international audiences.
