Yemeni forces launched a large-scale military operation called "Dawn of Yemen" to target Houthi militia positions, according to the Presidential Leadership Council. The operation began on Monday, as announced by Rashad Al Alimi. The Yemeni Armed Forces conducted new strikes against areas under Houthi control, as confirmed by Maj. Gen. Majed Abdullah Al-Nuzaili, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces. The operation follows directives from the political leadership, following the announcement of the battle for liberation.
Government forces claimed gains near Bab al-Mandeb, recapturing the Dhubab district from Houthi rebels. This follows a major offensive launched by government forces to retake territory seized by Houthi rebels last month. The Saudi-led coalition warned Houthi rebels over attacks on holy sites in Makkah and Madinah, as Yemen continued its campaign to reclaim Houthi-held areas.
The conflict in Yemen has intensified, with fighting reported in the Taiz governorate. The ongoing campaign marks a significant escalation in the war, with both sides engaging in renewed military actions. The operation reflects a coordinated effort by Yemeni forces to regain control of strategic regions. The situation remains volatile, with continued clashes and territorial disputes shaping the conflict's trajectory.
