The European Union ambassador to Saudi Arabia has denied any justification for recent attacks linked to Riyadh, stating there is no evidence of political motives behind the incidents.
The ambassador, speaking during a routine briefing, emphasized that the attacks, which targeted infrastructure in the capital, were not connected to broader political agendas. He reiterated that the EU remains committed to diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia and that the incidents should be addressed through legal and security channels.
This follows a series of unexplained attacks in Riyadh earlier this month, which have raised concerns among regional security analysts. The ambassador’s comments come amid ongoing discussions between EU officials and Saudi authorities on enhancing counterterrorism cooperation. The EU has not formally condemned the attacks, but has called for transparency and accountability in investigating the incidents.
