Hezbollah’s leader, Naim Qassem, claimed during a ceremony in Beirut that Israel has failed to break the Iran-backed group. Speaking two years after the killing of Hezbollah’s longtime leader Hassan Nasrallah, Qassem stated that Israel and its soldiers were unable to achieve their goals of ending the resistance, consolidating the Israeli occupation, or establishing settlements in Lebanon.
The remarks came as tensions remain high between Israel and Hezbollah, with the group continuing to assert its presence in the region. While the Israeli military has carried out several operations against Hezbollah in recent months, the group has not been fully dismantled. Qassem’s comments suggest that Hezbollah remains a significant force in the ongoing conflict.
Meanwhile, reports from the occupied West Bank highlight continued violence, with Israeli settlers attacking Palestinian areas. A top Iranian general criticized the February attack, calling it a humiliation for the US and the “Zionist regime.” The situation underscores the complex and volatile nature of regional tensions.
