Two Pakistani pilots are currently undergoing rigorous training in China as part of a planned mission to send the country's first astronaut to the Tiangong space station. The training includes mastering Mandarin, simulating weightlessness in centrifuges, and learning to perform essential tasks in microgravity. The selection process is being managed by SUPARCO, Pakistan’s space and upper atmosphere research commission. This mission marks a significant milestone in bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China, which has already included joint satellite launches and infrastructure projects under the Belt and Road Initiative. The spaceflight would be the first of its kind for Pakistan, highlighting the growing collaboration between the two nations in scientific and technological fields.
