A deadly train collision near Toledo, Spain, killed at least 64 people, prompting condolences from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan called Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares to express solidarity and extend condolences to victims’ families. The incident occurred early Wednesday.

The Saudi Press Agency reported the call, which included wishes for the injured to recover quickly. The crash, near Urda, Toledo, involved two high-speed trains. A Filipino national was among the injured, according to the Philippine Embassy in Spain.

This is the second major rail accident in Spain this year. The first occurred in March, when a collision near Madrid killed 78 people. Both incidents involved high-speed trains and raised concerns about safety protocols. The Spanish government has launched an investigation into the cause of the Toledo crash.
